Will Aid Makes A Million
For the first time, the charity Will-writing campaign, Will Aid, has raised more than £1 million in donations and Gift Aid. Money is still coming in at a brisk rate and will continue to do so for some months yet. The 9,000 people who used the scheme during November to write their Will also promised over £5.3 million in legacies to the Will Aid charities.
The Will Aid charities thank all those generous solicitors who worked so hard to make this possible, as well as the 9,000 people who took advantage of the scheme to have their Will drawn up by a qualified solicitor. If your paper, website, radio station or TV programme managed to publicise Will Aid, then you will have helped raise awareness of the campaign - so thank you.
Will Aid takes place again this November and we will need the maximum possible publicity to make the campaign even bigger and better so that more people make their Wills under the scheme and more funds are raised for vital charity work.
